I am a self-challenging person which allowed me to explore biologically inspired soft robotics as a PhD student at the Scuola Superiore SantAnna. This opportunity provided me with new competencies and a strong international network that spans multiple disciplines. I published papers in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. Very recently, I took up a new position as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Center for Soft Robotics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). My significant contribution to science and society is the development of novel design and manufacturing of smart actuators and sensors for soft-robotics applications. I aim at tackling real-world challenges e.g., conservation, sustainable robots, search-and-rescue, healthcare, inspection, and space exploration with soft-robotics solutions. To this end, I will take a systems approach that adopts the entire chain of design, fabrication, control, and learning of robots. While I am highly qualified for design and manufacturing aspect, my training lacks expertise in embodied material intelligence and implementing learning technique to have adaptive control locomotion.
